• Zuppa gallurese (suppa cuata): homemade bread, meat broth and cheese gratin in the oven — the symbol dish of the tradition
• Gallurese ravioli: ravioli filled with ricotta, lemon zest and sugar.
• Maialetto allo spiedo: suckling pig slowly roasted on a spit with myrtle aromas.

Fish and seafood:

• Sardinian lobster alla catalana (with fresh tomatoes and red onion)

Palau (15 km)

Palau, gateway to the La Maddalena archipelago, offers excellent fish restaurants and Gallurese trattorias with outstanding local cuisine.

• Reservations: in July and August it is essential to book at least 1–2 days in advance
• Opening hours: restaurants open for dinner from 20:00; lunch generally from 13:00
