Preferred Spots

The best of Northern Sardinia

Conca Verde is in an extraordinarily privileged position: within a 35 km radius you'll find most of the world's most famous and beautiful tourist destinations. Here are our top recommendations.

🏝 La Maddalena Archipelago

The National Park of the La Maddalena Archipelago is the number one destination. Accessible in just 15 minutes by dinghy directly from Conca Verde or 15 minutes by ferry from Palau, the archipelago includes 7 main islands and dozens of islets, with emerald turquoise waters and white sand beaches.

Islands to visit:

  • La Maddalena (main island): lively historic center populated by restaurants for all tastes, picturesque port and numerous beaches accessible by car or renting a bicycle.
  • Caprera: Garibaldi's island, with his house-museum and wild coves like Cala Coticcio.
  • Spargi: the beach of Cala Corsara, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy
  • Budelli: the legendary Pink Beach, colored by the remains of corals and shells (visit from water only — landing prohibited)
  • Santa Maria and Razzoli: the northernmost islands, crystal-clear waters and whitest sand.

🏰 Bonifacio, Corsica (50 min by ferry)

From the port of Santa Teresa Gallura (10 km from the residence) ferries depart to Bonifacio, Corsica's most picturesque city. Perched on white limestone cliffs towering over the sea, Bonifacio is a true masterpiece of nature.

Must-see in Bonifacio:

  • The medieval Citadel and its narrow streets
  • The Bonifacio Cliffs and marine caves
  • The Scala du Rei d'Aragona (187 steps carved into the rock)
  • The Roman cisterns in the heart of the city
